This bead-making business started long ago, quite accidentally when a Barbara Briggs and Nina Briggs wanted to do something together: they rolled little balls of porcelain clay and poked a hole in each one, then brushed them all over with glaze and fired them in a kiln. What they discovered was that they loved making beads, and they earnestly worked at it day and night.
Today their bead-making process is quite sophisticated, the result of their fascination with finding a way to make their beautiful beads efficiently. As work progresses the bead shapes change, the glazes change and the overall look changes. It is possible to continue on this curve of endless innovation because there is always a new idea to work on.
